The story of Manyara Ranch is deeply rooted in local ownership and international collaboration. The rightful owner of this vital land is the Monduli District Council (MDC), which holds the official Rights of Occupancy under Tanzanian title numbers 15733 and 15734. To ensure the land is managed effectively, the MDC established the Manyara Ranch Management Trust (MRMT), a formal board of trustees registered under the Trustees Incorporation Act CAP 318 R.E 2002.

MRMT is tasked with running the day-to-day operations of the ranch as a pioneering multi-use wildlife and livestock property. Every decision made on the ranch directly benefits the neighboring local villages of Esilalei and Oltukai. Reflecting this collaborative spirit, the MRMT board brings together diverse voices, including representatives from the Monduli District Council, the Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA), community members from Esilalei and Oltukai, and conservation experts from the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF).

To transparently share their conservation progress, attract sustainable eco-tourism, and maintain donor confidence, this multi-stakeholder trust needed a powerful digital voice.
